More Bounce House Fun!

Brad and I took Parker to the Bounce House the other day for some play time.  It is so hot outside, you can't do anything, so we have to get creative.  We had been to this place once before for a friend's birthday party, so we decided to try it out again.  They have open jump time daily and if you buy a "frequent jump pass" you get 10 visits for $5.  Parker is the only one that has to pay, so it's really a great deal for us and it's a great workout for Parker!

This round inflatable is Parker's favorite - he just giggles the whole time on it!

Sometimes he giggles so much that he falls over - especially when Daddy is tickling him!

There were a few older kids on this inflatable and they would jump on the middle part and the younger kids would fly into the air.  Parker just thought that was the greatest thing!  He loved it and laughed and laughed!

We had to pull Parker off the round inflatable so he would try something else.  He and Brad got into this one with a slide attached.  Once Parker made it up the steps, this was the look I got as he was looking down the slide - hah!

Brad was thinking about sending him down by himself, but decided he better go with him. 

I think Brad liked it a little more than Parker - hah!

Next, it was on to the "bigger" inflatables.  The Bounce House has 2 big rooms with 3 inflatables in each room.  This one is really made for bigger kids, so Brad had to go with Parker and help him a bit.

Parker did really good and was trying so hard - this wall was really tall, for a 2 year old!

Parker thought this circle opening was pretty cool.  He just wanted to hang out in it - hah!

Brad decided he would channel his "inner-child" and race Parker up the steps.  Parker looked up and saw that Daddy was already to the top and he turned around and came right to me and gave me a hug - it was really sweet!

Brad had a lot of fun on the inflatables and I was so glad he was able to go with us, since I can't get on the inflatables with Parker.  We are so thankful we have a fun and loving Daddy that can do fun things with Parker.  Thanks Daddy for a fun time at the Bounce House!

Bounce House Birthday Party Fun

Parker was invited to his friend Griffin's birthday party at the Bounce House.  I work with his mom Mandy, and we were so excited to be invited to Griffin's party.  We had never been to the bounce house, but Parker loved it and he had a great time!  He was absolutely worn out after the party and took a 3.5 hour nap!

Parker's favorite inflatable was this round one - he loved it.  He tried out the others, but he kept coming back to this round one.

Six Flags Fun

Friday we took our once a year trip to Six Flags with Parker.  My mom was in town, so it was nice having an extra set of hands.  I get a free teacher ticket through my work, and Parker is still free, so it's nice to be able to walk right in, head for the kiddie area, and not have to stand in any line.  I don't know what I'll do when Parker gets older and wants to ride the coasters!

The weather was pretty nice - overcast and not too hot.  We were greeted by Pepe le Peu when we walked in and Parker was fascinated by him.  He couldn't take his eyes off him - or his nose - hah!

Our first stop was the truck ride - Parker was the driver!

Next stop - airplanes!  Parker loved this and he got to ride this one a couple of times.

Parker in the carrot patch.  He didn't really know what to think at first.  Luckily, there weren't any kids in the patch for a while, so Parker could explore and figure out everything by himself.

Parker and Daffy - this is the 2nd year that Parker got to see Daffy and he was fascinated by his bill.

We stayed about 2 hours at Six Flags and that was enough for all of us.  Parker was exhausted and fell asleep in the car as soon as we left the park!  We had a great time and we appreciate Grandma Henry being with us and enjoying the day with her - thanks Grandma!

Father's Day

We had a great Father's Day.  We went to church, then ate breakfast at Cracker Barrel.  It was packed, but we didn't have to wait too long and we enjoyed a great breakfast together.  While we waited for our table, Parker and Brad walked some laps around the restaurant.  After breakfast, we stopped at Home Depot, so Brad and Parker were in heaven!  I think both of them could stay in that store for hours - hah!

We came home, relaxed and ate some lunch, then Parker took a nap.  After his nap, we watched the CWS (College World Series).  We love baseball and we are so glad the games are on.  Parker is lovin' the games too - he's really watching them and he'll clap at appropriate times - hah!  We stayed inside the rest of the afternoon, because you just can't go out mid-afternoon because it's so hot!

For dinner, I tried making these ribs.  They actually turned out pretty good.  I think Brad and I have only made ribs about 2 or 3 times, so I was a little worried, but they weren't too bad.  It turned out to be a pretty good Father's Day dinner!

After dinner, Brad and Parker enjoyed some night time play with each other - it was really cute.  (Notice the CWS on tv in the background - hah!)

Happy Father's Day Brad!  Thanks for being such a great Daddy to Parker.  He is a lucky little boy!  We love you!
