Atlanta Gardens

Sunday was a gorgeous day here, so we headed to Atlanta Botanical Gardens.  It was 60 degrees and sunny and it was just a great day to be outside.  After several days of rainy and cold and upcoming rainy and cold days, 60 degrees seemed like 80.  We were all excited to be outside and to see the sunshine!

All the water features were a hit with Parker and Hannah.
Hannah enjoyed her mode of transportation!
The slide was a hit with Parker and Hannah.  They both went up and down several times.
Love her sweet expression!
Since we've been going to the gardens for several seasons, we can really see how Parker is growing up.  We used to have to help him go up the stairs and down the slide . . . now, he can do it all by himself.  We are so happy for him, but a little sad at the same time (just because we know it means he's turning into a big boy)!
Our growth wall - we have to stop here every time we go to the gardens to see how much the kids have grown.  It's really a great picture to have and look back on - enjoy!

Hannah loved walking all over.  This was the first time was able to walk around at the gardens.
Hannah was so proud of herself that she could go down the slide all by herself!
Just chillin' in the gardens with my shades on!
Hannah was all excited when she found the smoothie in my bag . . .

But, not so happy when I wouldn't let her have it!
Cool dudette
Sweet Hannah
Hannah loved the canopy walk
See the lip gloss in Hannah's hand???  Well, that is the last picture I have of that tube (and it was brand new).  Hannah kept picking up leaves, mulch and rocks while she was walking, so I "traded" with her and gave her my lip gloss.  Unfortunately, that lip gloss became a casuality of our trip and it is now "one with the garden."  Oh well, at least it was something that can easily be replaced.
While Dad and Hannah walked up a daffodil path, Parker and I chilled out on the benches by the pond.
"Sup" people!
Just a boy, chillin' on the bench with his shades on!
The kids look so sweet in the daffodil garden.

We had a fun family day at the gardens.  Thankful for great weather and good family fun!

Hannah is 15 months!

Hannah turned 15 months this past Tuesday.  I can't believe how fast time is going.  She is just growing up way too fast.

She is a super sweet girl.  She loves to smile and she loves all her stuffed animals.
She is super independent and into everything!  Hannah wanted to take her own picture with my camera!
Hannah loves having fun and this is Parker and Hannah's newest game they play together.  Hannah gets on the car and Parker pushes her all over the house.  She loves it because Parker pushes her so fast - it's really fun to watch!  When Hannah doesn't feel a "need for speed," she likes to sit on the car and push herself for a nice little stroll through the house - hah!
Parker and Hannah are becoming great buddies.  Over the past two months, they've really started playing together more.  Hannah is much more interested in what Parker is doing, and Parker is much more tolerant in letting Hannah "hang" with him.
They loved being able to draw all over their big pieces of paper!
Friday, Hannah had her 15month check up.  All went great and she is a happy and healthy little girl!  She weighs 26.2lbs, putting her in the 90th percentile and her length is 33.75in, putting her in the 97th percentile.
Hannah is eating all types of food and she loves food as much as Parker!  She gets so excited when it's time to eat.  I have a feeling our grocery bill is going to steadily continue to increase each month (as it already has)!
She's starting to use a spoon and it's so funny to watch her bring it to her mouth and get the food off of it.  She is not a happy camper when the food falls off the spoon - hah!
She loves walking all over the house and officially became a walker at 14months.  She only takes one nap during the day for about 3hrs and she is a great sleeper at night.
She loves to laugh and she has the cutest giggle.  Parker has even started to make her laugh when he laughs - it's super cute!
We love our sweet little Hannah and we are so thankful for a happy, healthy, sweet little girl!

Parker's Valentine Party

Parker's preschool class had their Valentine party on Friday.  They are all just precious little people and it's so cute to watch them all interact with each other.  It's also pretty funny to try to get 9 little kiddos to all look at the camera at the same time - hah!

The first activity was to decorate the Valentine bucket.  All the kids did a great job and Parker was really into decorating his bucket.
Parker was so proud of his work!
The next activity was Valentine bingo.  Parker did so good and he won bingo!  One of his classmates starting crying because she wanted to win, so Parker gave her his candy treat to make her feel better.  LOVE him so!
Mrs. Melissa, his teacher, handed Parker his Valentines, then he would go around and put them in his classmates' buckets.  He did such a good job and he took his job very seriously - hah!
After the kids passed out all their Valentines, it was time to eat their special Valentine lunch!  Myself and another mom helped set up this party and I got these balloons for each of Parker's classmates.  The boys got frogs and the girls got butterflies.  They were a hit and it really made the room look festive!

Yummy Valentine lunch - CFA nuggets, cheese and crackers, strawberries, marshmallows and a cookie.  Parker ate everything on his plate (except the marshmallows).
Me and my sweet Valentine - February 2013!  We had a great time sharing a special day together!
