Grandma spoiling me

Grandma holding me and my brother Jake. She will have her hands full when I get a little older.

Me, my Mom, and Grandma Henry.

Again, Grandma holding me. She does that very well and I like it a lot.

Grandma held me for 3 straight hours while Mom and Dad slept when we were still at the hospital. As you can see, I am pretty content.

Bring back the 80's!!

Does anyone remember tube socks???

I love my tube socks!!!
Thursday, 25th, was a big day for me - my umbilical cord finally fell off! I feel like a new man. I wanted to show everyone my little belly button!

Some cute pics of me

I love my big brother!

Mom thought I looked really stylish in my sleep-n-play outfit. I kindof have to agree with her!

This is my, "Hold on a minute, let me think about that," pose.

Daddy was telling me something very interesting. You can see that I am a good listener!

This is something I do best - sleep! I'm in my favorite sleeping position - with my hand by my ear. My left hand over my mouth is a new one though!

Daddy is talking to me, but as you can see, I'm not really diggin' what he's saying.

This is my "fat and happy" pose. I just finished eating, so I'm loving life!

People that have come to see me

This is mom's best friend, Amy, and her son Colton. He is going to be my new buddy. We are going to have lots of fun together once I get a little older. Mom always enjoys getting to see Amy and was so glad she and her parents came to visit us. Again, Jake is in the picture - he loves getting his picture made!

These are our great neighbors, John and Jinna. They came to visit me a few days after I arrived home from the hospital. They are wonderful people and they even brought dinner to Mom and Dad one night. If you look closely, you can see my big brother, Jake, in the background. He is usually always somewhere near me.
We have had some other folks stop by to see me: Sue, Michelle, Dave & Lisa, and Audrey. I appreciate everyone that has stopped by to see me and bring food to my Mom and Dad. Thank you to everyone for your kindness!

My 2-week old pictures

I opened my eyes just long enough for Mom to take a picture. She seems to take a lot of pictures of me!

Here is what I did on my 2-week birthday - slept!! This is my favorite sleeping position. I like to show Mom and Dad what big muscles I have.

My First Stroller Ride

I am ready for my first ride around the neighborhood!!

My brother Jake was happy we were going for a walk.

Mom did a good job of strapping me in so I wouldn't fall out!

I am 1 week old today!

For my 1 week birthday, I went to go see Dr. Wagner, my nice pediatrician. I also got to go on my 2nd car ride today. It was fun and I had a good time, even though I slept all the way home.

I like to be read to

Daddy is reading his "Handyman" magazine to me. I am learning about grout.

I was not happy that the article about grout was over. Daddy gave me a kiss and I got all better after this picture was taken. I love my daddy!

My Nebraska Boys

It's Nebraska football time at the Kleeman house. Jake told Parker not to bother Daddy too much while he's listening to the game, so Parker decided to take a nap.

Jake and Parker supporting the Huskers. You can't really see it, but Parker has on a Nebraska bib.

Brad with his first "son" listening to the Nebraska football game on the internet.

Parker's 1st bath

I gave Parker his first "washcloth" bath on Saturday. Overall, it went pretty well. It was a fun, first-time experience for us both and the kitchen counter worked great!

I'm sorry - but I just had to put this one in. I'm sure when he's about 14 - he will not be too pleased with me for taking this picture.

Parker really liked getting his hair washed and head rubbed. He did pretty good during this part.

Parker didn't really like this too much. At this point, he had had enough! However, he sure looked cute in his dog hoodie towel!

Tummy Time

We are working with Parker on his tummy time. Sometimes he likes it and sometimes he doesn't. We have this little dog attached to a blanket and he likes looking at that.

It's really cute - he'll kick with his legs and makes these funny noises!

Baby Parker has arrived!!

Here is our new family! This was taken on the 1st day we arrived home from the hospital. It was so good to be in our own home. Jake was so happy to see us all!

Proud Daddy with his new son!

Parker Dean Kleeman

Mr. Parker, who is just a few minutes old!

He gets the head full of hair from his daddy and his lip from his mommy!

Mom with her new son!

Brad checking out Parker under the warmer. He was about 10 minutes old.
Story of Parker's arrival: We were set to be induced on 9-8-08. I woke up that morning around 4am having some mild contractions that were about 10-20 minutes apart. We called the hospital and they told us to come on in, so we got there about 8:30am. Around 9:30am, we were in the room and they had started me on Pitocin to get my contractions 2-3 minutes apart. It only took a couple of hours for this to occur. At 12:54pm - Parker Dean Kleeman made his entrance into the world. I pushed 5 "hard" pushes - with NO epidural - ALL NATURAL and out he came. Looking back on it, it was painful, but the last few contractions were the worst. I just remember telling myself, "You can do this, no needle!" Evidently that worked. Brad was a great coach and was by my side the entire time. He even told me when the next contraction was coming so I could be ready. I really think because I walked consistently almost every day for 40 weeks, that truly helped with my delivery. Brad is a great dad and what a wonderful little man our Parker is. We can't wait for you all to meet him!

Still waiting on Baby Parker

I believe Baby Parker is already getting his "stubborn-ness" from his daddy! We are still waiting on him to make his debut. We went to the doctor on Wednesday and there has been no change since last week. The doctor said we both were healthy and everything was fine, but she stated that we may want to look at the option of being induced if he doesn't come on his own. Of course, I had a gazillion questions about that and she was very nice in answering them all. We are hoping he will decide to come this weekend, but if he doesn't, then we went ahead and decided we would get - well, I would get - induced on Monday, Sept. 8th. So, I guess our little guy will be here no later than Monday sometime or early Tuesday morning. Having an actual date now, really makes it "real." I mean, it's been real for 40 weeks, but this is "really real" now!
Everyone tells me to run, jog, eat Mexican and Italian, but I haven't built up my courage enough to do that yet. There is a restaurant in Atlanta that claims if you eat their particular entree, that women go into labor within a matter of hours. They actually have pictures of these women and babies on the wall. My friends have told me to go there and have dinner, but I haven't ventured out to that restaurant and more than likely I won't.
So, as of now, we are still waiting. Baby Parker is movin' and grovin' and I know he's got to be running out of room. So, I guess when he gets annoyed enough that he can't move around like he used to be able to, then he'll start making his way toward the light.
Stay tuned!
