The picture above is what we came home to, after being in Chattanooga for Christmas. It was so pretty. The tracks you see at the bottom of the picture are deer tracks. They were all over the front and back yard!!
So, we were finally able to finish our Christmas. Between the snow/ice in Chattanooga and here at home, and between Brad, Parker and I all being sick - we finally were able to open our gifts from our other family members, who we weren't able to be with on Christmas. This post is dedicated to our family and best friend who wasn't able to see Parker open his gifts.
Parker opening gifts from my sister and her family. Her husband, Kevin, got Parker this truck. Of course it makes noise, however, they seemed to have "accidentally" left out the earplugs! Hah!
Can't you tell he loved it??!!
They also got him 2 cute books - Itsy Bitsy Spider and Mater's Christmas. Both super-cute books and Parker LOVES books!
They got him 2 cute outfits too!
My best friend Amy and her family got Parker this awesome LeapFrog laptop. So fitting, since I work from home on a laptop all day! Hah! The laptop is really cool - I can personalize it for Parker. It will say, "Parker, you have mail" and other personalized stuff. I don't know who likes it more - Parker or myself!
Grandpa and Grandma Kleeman got Parker an elephant-shaped book and 2 NE hats. I absolutely love this gray plaid hat. The picture is a little blurry, but it's the cutest one we have, so I had to put it in. This little golf hat makes Parker look so grown up! We love the red "floppy" hat too. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma for the hats - Brad even likes them!!
Brad and I got Parker the NE shirt, but we thought he looked super-stylish with his shirt and hat!
You all know that I never leave Jake out. Poor thing, he was waiting so patiently while Parker opened all his gifts, then waited while Brad and I opened ours. This bag of goodies was sitting out by the tree and Jake was sitting there, staring at it and giving a little whimper every now and then.
Boy, was he in heaven when he saw all his goodies!
Brad's parents got Brad this nice Cabela's sweatshirt. Brad said this would be perfect for him to wear hunting. It is very thick and looked very warm. I may have to use it if our GA weather gets back into the 20s again!
They also got him this nice TTU shirt and metal clipboard, that he can use for his turf business. Both of these are really nice!
Brad's parents got me this NE jacket and a Bed Bath and Beyond gift card. The NE jacket is perfect and is very warm (I am all about getting warm clothes)! I have already used a little on my gift card to get a nice train set of bronzed-pewter stocking holders. I've been wanting to get a nice set for a while now, so thank you Rita and Rolly for allowing me to do that!
I blogged this in an earlier post, but wanted to put it here as well.
Brad's sister, Jenny and her family got Parker a Veggie Tales DVD and pirate ship. Parker really had fun pulling on the wrapping paper!
My brother Ryan and his family got Parker this LeapFrog learning alphabet. It's awesome and Parker loves it. The letters are shaped like dog biscuits (so appropriate, right) and there is a doggie switch that you move between modes. One of the modes says, "Let's dig up some letter biscuits." Hah! This is a perfect toy to take to a restaurant. We actually did that when we met some friends for dinner and it entertained Parker for a while.
My mom got Parker this VTech learning turtle. It has a book that Parker can turn the pages, so he's all about that! She also got him the cute dino shirt he has on.
We had an awesome Christmas. We are so appreciative of all our family and friends and everything they do for us. I'm also very thankful that the boys are all better and Parker is pretty much back to 100%.
