Hannah turns 1 Year Old!

Monday, November 19, our sweet Hannah turned 1 year old!  I cannot believe it's already been a year - where in the world has the time gone?  It seems like only yesterday our sweet girl was being born.  I will do another post with her 1 year stats and a look back of her monthly pictures.  This post will be about how we celebrated her actual first birthday at the Omaha Zoo in Nebraska!

I got a cupcake for sweet Hannah and we all sat around the table and sang 'Happy Birthday' to her.  She loved hearing us singing to her and Parker did too!
Hannah was not ready to share her cupcake - hah!
She enjoyed taking her '1' off her cupcake more than eating it.  As soon as she got icing on her fingers, she was shaking her hands trying to get it off!  I think there was more icing on the table than on her - hah!
Hannah is all about the jewelry, so Grandma Kleeman let her borrow Great Grandma Nebuda's necklace.
So, to celebrate Hannah's birthday, we took the kids to the Omaha Zoo.  It was a gorgeous day and the kids had a great time.  I think all of us adults were more tired than they were by the time we left - hah!
Our first stop was the orangutan and gorilla exhibits - Brad's favorite.  These apes are so fascinating and interesting to watch.  Parker and Hannah thought they were pretty cool too!
This orangutan was absolutely hilarious!  It stayed in front of Parker and Hannah and would stretch out his arms and hands and even licked the glass several times.  We probably stayed with this orangutan for about 20 minutes.
Hannah's face says it all, doesn't it??!!
Parker and his Silverback friend
Parker and Grandpa
Next stop . . . the big cats!  This was one of my favorites - the white tiger.
So cool to see this lion up close!  Parker and Hannah were fascinated!
The picture doesn't do justice to show how big this Siberian tiger's face was.
Parker and Hannah thought these metal animal statues were pretty neat!

As we were leaving the zoo, I stopped by to see the bears and I took a pic of this Sun Bear.  I think this is my new favorite bear.  He's sortof a dainty little bear, eating mostly fruits, eggs, grubbs, honey and small mammals.
The kids were both tuckered out after a fun day at the zoo!  Hannah had to give up her seat so Parker could take a rest break in the stroller - hah!
I had a great time at the zoo with my sweet little 1 year old.  Happy Birthday Sweet Hannah!

Hannah's 1st Birthday Party

Well, I can't believe it . . . Hannah's 1st birthday party was this past Saturday.  I cannot believe that we are celebrating her 1st birthday already!  Her actual birthday is the 19th, but we had the party on the 10th, because of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.  It was an absolutely gorgeous day - sunny, blue sky and about 74 degrees.  We could not have asked for a better day!  The party was great and I hope you enjoy the pics of her fun day!

The food table  . . . hot dogs, Chick-fil-A nuggets, chips and oranges.
The cake table

Hannah's smash cake
Turkey cookies that I made!

Parker was walking around the party at first, with this look on his face.  I'm sure he was thinking, "Hey, there's a party going on, but it's not mine!"  Hah!
Hannah loved riding on Parker's motorized truck
She even got a push from our sitter's son, Jack

After playing for a while, it was time to eat!  Parker enjoyed sitting at the table with his friend Griffin.
After everyone ate, we got right to business with singing Happy Birthday and letting Hannah dig in!
She was so "dainty" getting bites of her cake - it was really funny!
Here she got a big piece and there is some brown icing right under her nose - hah!
Hannah's video of her eating her cake . . . she's so polite - hah!

We got a quick picture of us and the birthday girl after cake time was over.
Hannah and Mrs. Heather . . . she was Parker's preschool teacher last year and when I drop Parker off at preschool, I take Hannah down to see Mrs. Heather and she just loves Mrs. Heather and her necklace that she wears.  Mrs. Heather is a sweet person and we are hopeful she'll be Parker's teacher next year!
Hannah opening Mrs. Heather's gift . . . cute reindeer pjs!
Hannah and Mrs. Janet (whom I work with) . . . she got her a cute bath mitt and body wash.
Hannah with Mrs. Kathy (our sitter) and her boys, Jack and Clay
Hannah with Mrs. Mandy (whom I work with) and her kids, Lily and Griffin . . . they got her a baby doll!
Hannah was very intrigued with her new baby doll and even gave her baby a kiss!
My original teaching crew from Cobb County came and got Hannah her very 1st Cabbage Patch doll.  It is precious and it actually smells like a baby!
Hannah with her first 2 baby dolls!
Grandma Henry was able to come down for a few days.  We really enjoyed having her here and she was lots of help to us.  She watched the kids while I ran errands and made sure I had everything ready for the party.  Grandma Henry got Hannah some cute things too . . . a very precious turkey dress, a monogrammed ladybug blanket, a cute purple vest, some clothes and a barn animal sound toy.
Hannah had a great party and I think everyone had a fun time!
Lily loved Jake!
Our 2 sweet kiddos!
Thanks again Grandma Henry for helping celebrate Hannah's 1st birthday and for all your help while you were here!
Happy Birthday to our precious little girl!
