Last Day of Preschool!

Parker's last day of preschool was Wednesday.  I can't believe he's finished another year of preschool.  The school years seem to go by so fast!  We have been very blessed the past 2 years that Parker has been in such a wonderful, caring and loving preschool.

The party theme was "fun at the beach."  The kids had a bubble machine, pizza and ice cream.  A very simple, but fun party.  Each kid left with a beach bucket full of goodies.  We had such a sweet class with wonderful parents!
Hannah enjoyed herself very much during the party.  I thought it was very sweet that big bro and sis played together in the house.
Parker had 2 wonderful preschool teachers, Mrs. Melissa and Mrs. Angela.  We could not have asked for anything better.  His teachers were so loving and really cared about Parker.  I never worried about him when he was at school.  They built a special bond with him and I am so thankful for that.
Parker and Mrs. Angela (his favorite).  We've been so blessed to have had Angela for the past 2 years.  Hopefully he can have her again next year!
Hannah loved playing on the playground and meeting new friends.  This is just a little glimpse of what's to come, because Hannah will be starting at the preschool next year 2 days a week!  I'm happy and sad about this, because it means she's growing up way too fast!

Fun times in May

May is such a fun month!  We've done lots of fun things!

We watched the Kentucky Derby and cheered for our horse, Oxbow.  We picked him because he likes to have his tongue pulled - it's hilarious!  He didn't win the derby, but Oxbow did win the Preakness!
Parker and Hannah helped mow the yard.  They both love to push the mower all over the grass, so Brad is starting to train them early - hah!
Of course, I think Hannah loves to run around in the yard just as much, or more, than mowing it - hah!
A couple of times a week, the kids enjoy watching either their reading or ABC video.  I love this picture of them!
For Mother's Day, we did our annual Atlanta Garden Tour of Homes.  We did this last year on Mother's Day and had fun, so we thought we would try it again.  This year was a little different, because we had 2 little kiddos that were very mobile, but we still had a fun time!

One of the homes we visited was 5 acres and had this small water area and their doggie loved being in the water "bobbing" for his floating tennis balls.  It was awesome and the kids and I loved it!
Hannah on the move!
Another home we visited was just as awesome as the 5 acres with the doggie.  The landscaping at this home was exactly how Brad and I like it - straight lines, tight hedges, very clean and sharp.  It was really nice!
The hit at this house was the goldfish pond.  It was awesome - look at the size of these goldfish!
Would Jake not be spoiled in that doggie house??  Yes, that is a doghouse for the dog and it matches the house!  I love it!
 Hannah loved this view!
I had a great Mother's Day.  I got to spend 2 wonderful days with the kids and they both took LONG naps each day after we got home from the gardens.  I think this picture is a perfect shot of how they felt each afternoon when we were done with the tour - hah!

My 2 sweet Mother's Day gifts Parker made for me at school.  I love my plate of a purple flower made with his fingerprints and the craft he made is just precious!

What we did in April - Part 2

Part 2 of what we did in April . . . enjoy!

We went to one of our favorite gardens on a beautiful day!
The kids love the statues!
So sweet!
Just hangin' out with my turtle friend - hah!
One of my faves!
Hannah loved this little waterfall.  It was pretty cool looking at it from above!
This fox . . . the kids absolutely love it!  Every time we go to the gardens, they both stop and want to hang out with him.  It's really cute!
Parker was telling the fox they both have a nose - hah!
At the end of April, my mom came down for 2 weeks to help out with the kids while I was away for work.  During that time, Hannah learned how to talk on the phone and drive Grandma's car - hah!

What we did in April

I realized it has been a while since I've posted, so to our family and friends . . . oops, sorry!  I promise I'll get back on track with keeping this updating.  Hope you enjoy this post of what we did in April!

We visited one of our favorite gardens, Atlanta Botanical Gardens.
The kids cooperated OK - neither really wanted their picture taken - hah!
The tulips were really pretty!
Hannah is like the bull in the story, Ferdinand.  She loves to stop and admire everything!  Here she is examining all the little rock pebbles - hah!
She loved helping me push the stroller!
Hannah made a new friend!
Our attempt at a pic of the 3 amigos - you can see how well that turned out - hah!
Chillin'
Our parting gift of going to the garden . . . on our way out this garden snake slithered across the path.  Yuck!
The other fun outing we had in April was going back to Tech for my Softball Legends Day.  It has been 2 years since we were there, so it was nice to go back and see campus.
This was Hannah's first time visiting Tech, so Parker showed her the ropes - hah!
We headed over to the softball field and the kids enjoyed playing and watching the game!
Pretty cool to see my name on the wall at the field!
Maybe a future Golden Eagle??
This shirt is super special to me because Parker wore it when he was 2 years old.
Cheering for the Golden Eagles!  Go Tech!
Softball Legends - so honored to be part of this group!
The new and improved athletic weight room - Parker was impressed - hah!
Pretty cool to see my picture hanging in the Athletic Hall of Fame at Tech.  This was the first time I got to see my picture hanging since being inducted into the Hall of Fame two years ago.  Very humbled to see this!
