Easter Bunny and Spring Pics

This week I took Parker to visit the Easter bunny at the mall.  It was great - we were able to walk right up to the Easter bunny and get our pictures.  It's funny because it took me longer to drive to the mall, than to actually get Parker's picture taken.  After visiting with the bunny, we walked around the mall for a few minutes, then headed home.
We are having gorgeous weather this week, in the 70s, with low 80s towards the end of the week.  So, we have been enjoying the sunshine very much!

Parker with the Easter bunny.  I only got to take 1 picture with my camera, but at least the pictures I paid for, Parker was smiling!  Much better Easter bunny, than compared to last year's.

Parker's Easter bunny picture from last year.

Parker and Jake enjoying each other's company!

Parker trying to get his shoes off, then clapping because he was proud of himself that he had tried so hard!

Parker and Jake - 1 year ago!  WOW!

The wind was blowing Parker's hair and he made this face - hilarious!

My little mailman going to the mailbox to get the mail.

Coming back with the mail!

Loving his "rocky" horse.

Parker was playing "keep away" with Jake's toy.  It was hilarious and Jake was loving it!

Jake was very disappointed when Parker lost interest in playing with him!

Chattanooga Fun!

This weekend, Parker and I went to Chattanooga to visit my mom and my best friend, Amy, and her 2 cute boys!  We had a great time and I'm so glad I got to spend some time with my best friend.  She lives in Wilmington, so we don't get to see each other that much, but she was in Chattanooga visiting her parents, so it was awesome that we had the opportunity to spend time together.
The day started off at the riverpark where there was an Easter egg hunt going on, so Parker joined in.  We didn't have his basket, but we had pockets, so that worked just fine!
Grandma Henry loved helping Parker find some eggs.  It was really cute!

Parker was so proud of himself with his eggs!

After the egg hunt, we took the boys on the carousel.  Oh my, I haven't been on a carousel in many, many years.  It went a lot faster than I remembered.  Parker was absolutely fascinated with everything about the carousel!

My best friend, Amy, and her son Colton.  He's such a cutie and a great big brother to his younger brother Chase.  Colton is in the phase of asking, "Why?" to everything.  It was really funny to hear him ask, "Why?" all day long!

Giving Grandma Henry a hug and kiss and thanking her for a fun time at the carousel.

After the carousel, we let the boys play outside and they loved hanging out on these stone animals.

Colton showing Parker the "steeple" finger game.  It was just too cute how they both were playing with their fingers!  Of course, Parker is a natural at playing with his hands!  HAH!
After all the fun outside, the natives were getting restless and hungry, and so were the adults!  So, we went to eat at TGIFriday's.  By the time lunch was over, I think we had accomplished getting the boys tired and crazy!
The pictures below are Amy's boys - Chase, almost 6 months and Colton, 2 1/2.  And, of course, my sweet little guy Parker, 18 1/2 months.
We had a great time in Chattanooga.  Thanks to Amy, Chase, Colton and Amy's mom for a fun day together.  Thanks also to Grandma Henry for a fun weekend as well!

Fun times with friends

Friday we met some of my friends to have lunch.  Parker was in a great mood and we had such a good time.  Parker got to meet a new friend, Avery, at the restaurant.  They had fun entertaining each other.  Avery was very nice at sharing his dinosaurs and they played together with the balloon.  Thanks Avery for being such a nice friend!

We helped Mrs. Karen celebrate her birthday.  We tried to get Parker to help her blow out the candle, but he preferred that Mrs. Karen just blow in his face!  HAH!

We had a great time at lunch with the girls.  It was a beautiful day and a great day to be out with Parker!

The other day, Parker and Jake were playing with each other.  Jake has this marrow bone that he just loves.  The first night we gave it to him, he chewed on it for 3 hours!  So, the other day, Parker was crawling around and found this interesting toy (Jake's bone).  Parker started playing with it and Jake wasn't too fond of that idea.  However, Jake was a good boy and just waited until Parker was finished to get it back.  Thanks Jake!
The standoff - who will win?

Parker:  Mom, can I?  Jake:  Mom, please don't let him take my bone!

Yeah - I got it, I got it!

I know the Grandma's won't like this picture, but it was hilarious!  I promise, I took it away from Parker right after I snapped the picture.

So proud of himself!

Parker has a reading video he watches.  Usually he sits in his boppy during the video, but lately, he likes to lay on his belly.  So, when Parker moves from the boppy, Jake gladly curls up and takes his seat.  I promise, Parker was only this close to the tv for about 2 seconds.

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all our family and friends!  We hope you all have a great day and don't get pinched!  Enjoy the pics of my 2 lucky charms!
I couldn't decide which picture of Jake was cuter, so I had post both!

Parker is super excited about wearing green!

What a difference a year makes!!!

18 month check up

Parker had his 18 month check up today and it went great.  The doctor is very pleased with Parker's progress and she said he is "very close" to walking.
Parker's stats:
-27lbs 10oz(75th percentile)
-33in long(75th percentile)

Two cute pictures of Parker helping Dad with the fire.  He is absolutely fascinated with the fireplace.  Yes, I know - this is good and bad, but it's really cute how he wants to be near the fire.  No, grandma's - we don't let him get too close to the fire.
