Hannah is 10 months!

Our sweet Hannah is 10 months old!  I cannot believe in two more months we'll be celebrating her first birthday!  She weighs 23.14lbs and she is a sweetheart!  She is crawling everywhere and cruising along furniture, so it won't be long until she starts walking - oh my!
She is doing great with her little lion push-toy.  She can walk behind it for longer periods now without going down to her knees.  She makes lots of baby sounds and it's so sweet to hear!
About a week ago, we went to Athens where the State Botanical Gardens are located.  It was a nice day, but it turned hot quickly.  However, we made the best out of it and had a fun lunch out near the campus of UGA!
Parker got a great workout walking up and down these stairs.
Hannah was a trooper and enjoyed the ride around the gardens!
We stopped to see a pretty butterfly!
I thought this picture turned out pretty good - especially with the sky and clouds in the background!
Parker was fascinated by these huge leaves!
I thought this was too cute - he was touching the girl statue's face!
Our sweet kiddos at the gardens!
We met my mom at the Calhoun outlets last weekend so we stopped to take a few pics - we had a fun morning out!
We had a fun morning with you Grandma - thanks for meeting us and for the yummy lunch!

CFA, County Fair & Soccer

Every month Parker's preschool has Spirit Night at Chick-fil-A.  You eat at Chick-fil-A by turning in the receipt to the designated box, his preschool gets a portion of all the sales back to the school.  It's a win-win for Parker and I because it helps his school purchase items for the kids and we LOVE eating Chick-fil-A!

We also love going because the preschool teachers are there to see and visit with and they provide games and crafts for the kids.  Another favorite about going is Daisy, the cow, is always there and Parker loves Daisy!  This particular CFA has an outdoor playground and Parker now enjoys playing on the slides there.  So, for about $8, we can help out his school, see his teacher, play some games, get some exercise and of course eat some yummy Chick-fil-A!
Can you see how excited Parker is that Daisy came and sat down beside him at the craft table??
He loves the slide!  And I love this playground too, because it's outside and gated, so we can eat at the tables outside and Parker can run around and play!
Hannah was a good sport and enjoyed being outside too!
Parker giving Daisy a hug and saying goodbye - he did NOT want to leave!
Two weeks ago, our county held a local County Fair.  Evidently this happens every year, but this is the first year I found out about it.  I talked to one of my friends that went the night before and asked her all about the fair.  She told me it would be appropriate for Parker, but there really wasn't anything there for Hannah.  So, I bought my friend's remaining tickets that she didn't use, Brad stayed home with Hannah and Parker and I headed to the county fair!
I thought the fair was perfect for Parker!  All the kiddie rides they had were perfect for Parker.  He got to ride everything once and we were there for a little over an hour, which was plenty of time for us to do everything.

The motorcycles were fun.  Parker enjoyed these and he got to ride these twice.  He did a great job holding on to the handlebars the first time, then the 2nd time he got a little cocky and just did it with one hand - hah!
There was a cute little train Parker got to ride.  It was hard to get a good picture, but Parker enjoyed it very much!
Parker and I had a great time at the county fair.  It should be even more fun next year with both kids!
Parker had his 2nd soccer game last weekend and we had a little improvement in his performance - hah!  Every week we are looking for Parker to improve in his stamina, staying on the field, chasing the ball, running with his teammates and his kicking ability.  This week, we accomplished a little longer endurance and staying on the field!

This picture about sums it up - Parker taking a water/rest break and Hannah bored to death - hah!
We are still working on staying on the field and running with our teammates!

Parker's team played the Purple Team and his friend from preschool, Jeremiah, was on the purple team.  They were in preschool all last year together, but this year, they are in different classes.  Before the game started, they both recognized each other right away and they stood in front of each other and just stared at one another - it was hilarious!  After the game, we got this cute pic of them!
I had to post this pic because I think it's so sweet.  This is how Parker falls asleep every night.  We start out in his bed, but then he'll crawl out of bed, go over to his bookcase, turn on his lamp and look through his books.  Then, he'll lay down in the floor and go to sleep.  We've tried to keep him in his bed, but this is just part of the routine Parker likes to do, so we just let him.  I think this picture is extra sweet because not only is his book open, but he got his bear, Patrick, off the bookshelf and is laying on him!

Hannah's Baptism

We baptized Hannah on Sunday, September 2nd, the day after Parker's birthday party so both our parents could be in attendance.  It was a really nice ceremony and we were so glad both our parents were able to attend.  I have to say that Hannah looked really pretty in her white dress - it brought visions of what she'll look like in her wedding dress one day - WOW!

The ceremony was at 1:30, which is right in the middle of both Hannah and Parker's nap times, but they both did great!
Deacon Tony baptizing Hannah.  A HUGE thanks to my mom who took all these great shots - thanks Mom!
Deacon Tony saying a blessing for Hannah
We love Deacon Tony - he's our favorite.  We have a special connection with him because we attended the baptism class he conducted back when we baptized Parker.  He's now been a part of both of our children's baptisms.
Deacon Tony let Parker touch the Holy Water
Thanks to Deacon Tony for a wonderful service!
Hannah was all smiles and pumped up after being baptized - hah!
Sweet Hannah, baptized at 9 months!
Our family of 4 with both kids being baptized!
The baptism wore Hannah out - she was asleep as soon as we started home!
And just to compare . . . here is Parker at 3 months, when he was baptized.
