School Costume Parade

Friday, Parker had a Halloween costume parade and party at school.  It was so cute and Parker really enjoyed himself.  He was the line leader, so he got to lead the way throughout the church where they paraded up and down and the aisles.  Who would have thought??  Our little zookeeper as the line leader - hah!

This was right when Parker saw me - he got out of line to run and give me a hug.  I thought that was cute, but I quickly gave him a hug and told him to go back in line.  I can only imagine what his teacher was thinking - hah!

The teacher told the students they could go to their chairs at the table and Parker was one of the first ones there, because he knew there was about to be some food to eat - hah!

The kids pray before they eat, so Mrs. Julia was singing the "prayer song" and all the kids had their hands folded together.  Parker really enjoyed Mrs. Julia singing (that's who he's looking at).

After eating, Parker and I colored and decorated our pumpkin.

After the pumpkin craft, Mrs. Julia took Parker over to the spiderweb to feel it.  I can tell they both really like each other, so that makes me happy.  I have been really pleased with his new school so far, and I think Parker is doing a good job being in this smaller class. 

Party Fun!

This past Saturday, Parker went to his friend Mckenzie's birthday party.  Mckenzie's mom, Kathy and I taught together at my first school for 5 years and we've remained in contact and close friends ever since I left, which was 6 years ago.  We had a blast at the party and Parker enjoyed the bounce house and the food!

We all enjoyed the food - it was Moe's (fresh tacos and ingredients) and Chick-fil-A nuggets - yummy! 

This was the attempt at getting a picture with all the kiddos at the party.  The ages ranged from 2 weeks old to 9 years old.

I don't know if this is a foreshadowing of what's to come, but Parker seemed pretty interested in this baby girl that was 2 weeks old.  This is Kathy's sister holding her neice and Parker stood right beside Jen the entire time!

I have been given a hard time lately, because for my entire pregnancy, I haven't posted a pic of my belly bump for anyone to see - only pics from the chest up.  Well, guess what??

Fun Week!

We have had a fun week here at the Kleeman household.  Parker started a new school this week and it is going great.  We pulled him out of the school he was going to because there were 16, 2 and 3 year olds in a class with 2 teachers, so needless to say, it was a little chaotic and Parker wasn't "flourishing" in that class.  So, a friend of mine that I work with, told me about a local church preschool that her kids attend, so I went to talk with the director and was impressed.

Parker's class is a 3-day class from 9-12 and they are the giraffes.  There are 9 kids in the class with 2 teachers and in just 3 days, I can tell a difference with Parker (for the better). 

A successful first day!  He was so happy to see me when I picked him up and he was in a great mood - this made me one happy mommy! 

Tuesday was my birthday, so we went to eat at Olive Garden.  Parker and I shared some grilled chicken and broccoli - it was  yummy!  Thanks Daddy for taking us out!

This is our "Great Pumpkin" that we tried to grow this year.  Poor thing, it's kindof sad, but it was a good first effort don't you think?  We actually had 2 pumpkins, but the other one started to rot before we took it off the vine.  I don't think the Kleeman's will be hosting any pumpkin patches any time soon - hah!

Grandma Henry came down for a couple of days to celebrate my birthday, to allow me to go out to dinner with my girlfriends, and of course to spoil Parker.  She got to take Parker into school and pick him up Friday, and she enjoyed getting to see his new school and meet his teachers and the director.

Our Celebrity Zookeeper

We officially have a celebrity on our hands!  Friday night, we took Parker to a local outdoor festival and they had a children's costume contest and Parker WON for his age group!!  We couldn't believe it - our little zookeeper!

He got a pretty cool prize - a Halloween bucket filled with books, sidewalk chalk and some other goodies!

After the costume contest, our zookeeper wanted to check out the grounds, so we stopped by the ATVs and tractors.

Brad said his Grandpa used to put all the grandkids in the scooper and pick them up, so this is our version of being in the scooper!

We finished off the night with a little bean bag toss - Parker was 3 for 3!!  We had a great time, it was a beautiful night and we are so glad we decided to go.  We are very proud of our little zookeeper - way to go Parker!

Fun at the Pumpkin Farm!

Saturday we took Parker to a local pumpkin farm - one that we've taken him to for 3 years now.  It's about 30 minutes from our house and it's small, so it's great to go to because we don't really want to be in a huge crowd of people.  It's really nice because Parker can walk all over and Brad and I can space out to let Parker think he's got lots of freedom - hah!

They have a cute little pumpkin market, so we always get a little pumpkin for Parker (and this year we got a little tiny one for Baby Girl Kleeman).

Parker loved, loved, loved the goats!  This was his favorite thing to do at the farm.  Brad bought some popcorn to feed the goats and Parker just loved it.  I think Parker liked this experience with the goats better than last time, when we were at another farm, because Parker could actually eat some of this snack - hah!

Parker would feed the goat, then eat a piece of popcorn himself - he repeated this process a few times - hah!

I really like this picture of the boys walking together.  They were headed to the pony ride and if you notice, Parker is eyeing the little bag of popcorn Brad is holding - hah!

Brad bought Parker a ticket to do the pony ride and he really enjoyed it!  The pony was very nice and gentle.  Thanks Daddy!

My friend that I work with made this shirt for Parker.  She is so talented and I appreciate her making it for him - we love it!  My goal is to get 2 seasons out of it!
