What a great time we had while in Omaha, NE!! We really appreciate Brad's parents letting us stay with them for almost 2 weeks. The weather was hot about 3 days while we were there, but the other days were just awesome! There is a nice breeze that blows about every day and that makes the "hot" weather seem "warm." It's a totally different climate than Georgia.
Brad's sister, Jenny, and her kids were in town visiting for a few days, so we had a competitive game of frisbee volleyball and kickball baseball. The kids had a blast and the adults all batted left-handed! It was such a fun time!
Parker loved swinging with Grandma in the rocker on the deck!
Cousin Peter and Parker having fun together. This was first thing in the morning, so they both were still a little sleepy!
Parker loved playing with Grandma's cooking tools and pans.
Parker tried so hard to figure out how the lever handle on the door opened. He never got it, but each day he got closer and closer! He also figured out how to open the drawers to the cabinets (thanks to Grandma Kleeman for helping him figure it out), so I'm excited to have him come home and open ours. He was so proud of himself for figuring it out - he would look at us every time and smile so big!! I guess my next task will be putting "child-proof" objects in the bottom drawers! Hah!
The last day we were in Omaha, we visited some great friends, Donnie, Shannon and their 3 girls. Donnie and Brad grew up together and every time we go back to Nebraska, we always make sure to stop by and see them. Sydney and Charlotte were great hosts to Parker. They had a great time playing together!
I think this is such a cute picture of the 3 of them (we were all playing cards)!
The last night we were in Omaha, we ate at Parker's Smokehouse. Grandma and Grandpa chose this because of the name. We got some great pictures of Parker with his sign.
How cute is this?? It's like Parker's reading the sign and thinking, "Hey, that's my name!" Also, notice the "Established in 2008," this was the year Parker was born! I thought that was great!! Hah!
Parker was our after dinner entertainment by banging on the "to-go" box! Hah!
What a great time we had in Nebraska! We enjoyed every minute of our visit!!
