Happy St. Patrick's Day! We spent our St. Patty's Day at the zoo! We were so glad we got to go and enjoy this gorgeous day! Hannah was sick yesterday, so we were worried we may not make it. However, it must have been a little bug because she woke up today feeling just fine!
We were able to go to the zoo for free, thanks to the library zoo pass! We packed a lunch and only spent $5 on a coke! So, for $5, we made great memories enjoying a beautiful day outside with the kids and saw some cool animals!
1st stop - the flamingo birds! Hannah loved them!
The kids loved the meerkat exhibit!
Rhino, giraffes and a zebra!
Hannah and her giraffe (she gave him a kiss after the pic) - hah!
I took several pics trying to get both of them to look at me, but no luck. So, we have one with Hannah looking and Parker not, and one with Parker looking and Hannah not - hah!
The gorilla wasn't very active, but he did walk around a little for us.
The panda bear exhibit was awesome!! Everytime I see them, they are either eating or sleeping. I have never gotten to see them move around. However, today was our day! This guy ate a little bamboo then walked around and put on a show for us!
This one was inside and she kept walking back and forth - it was awesome!
She walked right up to Hannah and Hannah said, "Ooooooh!" It was super cute!
Pandas - our favorite exhibit of the day!
After seeing the pandas, we ventured over to the petting zoo. The kids had a great time and the goats were super nice!
Love the 1 finger - hah!
Parker says, "Stay," Hah!
What's up goat?
Hannah was trying to take the straw the goat was eating out of his mouth - it was hilarious!
Poor goat - he couldn't get away from Hannah, she followed him everywhere! Then, once he stopped, she would try to bump him with her belly. It was hysterical!
The kids had a great time at the zoo and I'm so glad we had a gorgeous 72 degree day to enjoy it! I also appreciate the goat smiling for our picture too - hah!
