Parker sportin' his St. Patty's Day shirt that my talented friend and co-worker, Joanna, made for him. We love it!
I took Parker to get his haircut at the kids salon, Pigtails and Crewcuts. Parker sat in the police car this time and we got the same stylist, Mrs. Marjorie. Parker did awesome sitting still for Mrs. Marjorie and she did another super job on Parker's hair!
The finished product!
Hannah woke up about the last 5 minutes while Parker was getting his haircut, so she supervised and looked cute - hah!
It was an absolute gorgeous day today - sunny and 65, so we went to Gibbs Gardens. It's 220 acres of daffodils, bushes, trees, paths, etc. It is quite the deal and it's only about 35 minutes from where we live! A man named Joe Gibbs had a vision 20 years ago of turning his 220 acres into a garden attraction and last weekend was the opening weekend. It is something else and we enjoyed every minute of it!
Here is Mr. Gibbs. It's mind-boggling to know that he could turn 220 acres into such a wonderful place for others to enjoy!
Parker was ready to explore the gardens!
Taking a rest on the bench - hah!
Just a small section, of the many sections of daffodils - it was unbelievable! Mr. Gibbs planted over 200,000 daffodils each year for 20 years on his property!
Parker liked the rocks in the paths - he stopped several times to check them out!
Hannah was awake for about an hour while we were there, so we had to take advantage of getting some photos of her!
Parker was absolutely worn out after walking all along the paths. I was holding Hannah, so we put Parker in the car seat/stroller - he loved it! He was lounging and lovin' life! If we had stayed much longer, I really think he would have fallen asleep like this - hah!
We had a fabulous time at the gardens and Brad got us a family membership, so we'll be going back many times. Thanks to Mr. Gibbs for envisioning such a wonderful family attraction!
