Getting Ready!

Went to the doctor Tuesday morning and she told me Baby Kleeman would be induced Monday, if she didn't come sooner!  I was like, "WHAT??!!"  I mean, I knew I was close, but oh my goodness - in less than 7 days??!!  I really would like for her to wait until Monday, so I hope she cooperates - hah!

My friends (Amy mostly - hah) have all been bugging me to post pics of the nursery, so I figured now is a good time to do that - with less than 7 days - hah!

For all my friends, this is a plum-colored bow on the monkey's ear - not pink - hah!

I found this theme in the baby stores around town, but ordered it off the internet for $100 cheaper and got 3x as many pieces.

LOVE the rug!

Brad and I finally decided on a name - Hannah.  6 letters, just like Parker - so all those letters I painted and hung fit nicely in the holes that were already on the wall from Parker's name - hah!  It's also a palladrome, so pretty cool, I think!

Random Pics

Last week, Parker was assigned his 1st preschool homework assignment - to decorate 2 turkey feathers.  I was super excited about this assignment because I thought it would be a fun thing to do together.  Well, "fun" would not be the word Parker used.  He really didn't want to "decorate" the feathers, he just wanted to color them, then throw them in the floor!

I went outside and picked up a few leaves, thinking he would like to help me glue them to the feathers - NOPE - all he wanted to do was crumble up the leaves!  So, I told Parker we were going to have "mandatory fun" and complete his assignment.  Needless to say, there was some pushback and a few tears, but we got the assignment completed.

In the end, Parker was very proud of himself.  The feathers aren't "fully" decorated, but they are "Parker" decorated and that's all that matters!

This is Parker's Fall school picture.  I took a picture of the proof, just so I would have a copy, because I had to send in the proof when I ordered his pictures.  He looks so grown up here!

Here is Jake's new "doggie body."  He has lost about 5lbs.  At the last "Kleeman weigh in," he was 19.5lbs.  I cut out all the wet food and treats and he lost the weight instantly - crazy!  We still have a few treats, but I would say in the last month, Jake has only had 2 treats.  He is so spunky now!!  I really think when he lost that extra weight, we put years back on his life.  (Mrs. Kathy - what do you think??)

This picture cracks me up!  I was in the kitchen making dinner, I turned around and Parker had "parked" himself on the door of the dishwasher and he thought it was hilarious!

Monday, Parker's class made cowboy hats.  When I went to pick him up, all the kids had their hats on as they came running out of the classroom to get to their mom's.  It was pretty cute!

Halloween Fun

Parker was excited that Halloween was finally here, because he knew he was going to get to wear his "award-winning" costume - hah!  He helped me get the porch ready for the trick-or-treaters.  Of course, I had to get a few pics in before we were completely finished and he finally reached his limit - hah!

Don't worry Grandma Henry, this didn't last long and it was a "fake" cry - there were no tears!

Every year, I have gotten a picture of Parker on the porch with the pumpkins, because I love comparing from year to year.

Parker was very serious about decorating his pumpkin!

So proud of himself of the finished product!

The Zookeeper and his trusty Kung Fu sidekick

Is this not a typical zookeeper pose?  Hah!

Halloween 2011

Gotta give some love to the "first-born."  He looked super skinny in his Kung Fu outfit!

Parker with his bag ready to go trick-or-treating.  He was so over pictures at this point!

Off we go!

We trick-or-treated for about an hour and that was enough because both Parker and I were tired!  We got home and checked out our stash.  Brad and I appreciate Parker doing such a good job and getting lots of candy for us - hah!

Parker and I had a great time together - another successful Halloween!  It was bittersweet for me, because this will be the last Halloween just he and I, before little Miss makes her debut into the world.
