White Christmas

What an awesome Christmas day we had - a white Christmas!!  This is the first time, that I can remember, that it ever snowed on Christmas day!  We also learned that it had been many, many years since it had snowed on Christmas day in Georgia. 

We were in Chattanooga for Christmas, due to the coming snow and ice.  We were planning on leaving Christmas morning, but we had to leave Christmas Eve to get to Chattanooga safely.  We also ended up coming back home Christmas night, due to the snow and ice.  We got home around 9pm and we just made it safely, because some of the roads in Georgia, were starting to get a little icy (there was no salt on the roads anywhere)!

This was what we woke up to Christmas morning at my mom's house - beautiful!

Parker went right to his chair, picked it up, sat in it and loved it!

Then, he saw his mower - he was in heaven!  He pushed it all over the house all day long!

After we enjoyed the gifts from Santa and ate some breakfast, we headed outside to play in the snow!

Sorry Parker, but this is a ritual that all grandkids go through at the Henry house.  The youngest grandchild always gets a bow put on their head while opening presents.  One year, Jake was the recipient of the bow! Hah!

Before we left Chattanooga, we met our best pals Amy and Casey at TGIFriday's.  I had no idea so many restaurants were open on Christmas night!  There were several people inside.

Amy and Casey live in Minnesota now, so it's such a treat to get to see them.  We miss them very much, but we are so lucky to have such great friends! 

The view of the beautiful snow as we were leaving Chattanooga.  The snow was so pretty on all the trees and on the mountains. 

All in all, we had a great Christmas.  Parker woke up on Christmas a little sick, but made it through the day ok.  Now, both of my boys are sick, so we are just hoping that everyone gets to feeling better soon.  We still have several gifts to open, from our families, so more pics to come, when everyone gets to feeling better.  We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your family and friends!
