Valentine Party

Parker had his school Valentine party Monday, so we made these cute bags for his classmates.  Inside the bags were Annie's cheddar bunnies, organic gummy snacks and a small sheet of stickers.  Parker was very intrigued by what was inside!
Parker's gift for his teachers at school - he couldn't figure out why he couldn't get it open to eat one - hah!
Parker with his favorite teacher Mrs. Angela.  I think they both have a secret crush on one another - hah!  They always have a "lunch date" on Monday at school because they both stay for the lunch hour.  Parker loves spending extra time with Mrs. Angela!  She is really sweet and loving with Parker.  We are very fortunate that he has 2 wonderful teachers at his school.
The party table - it was decorated so cute!  All the kids had a balloon tied to their chair - the boys had frogs and the girls had butterflies!
Parker's sweet Valentine gift to Brad and I that he made at school.
The kids exchanged their Valentines, then the teachers "released the hounds" to go to their seat at the table.  You didn't have to tell Parker or the little boy in pink twice, because they knew it was time to eat - hah!
Parker and his classmates praying before they eat.  They sing their blessing - it's really cute!
Parker enjoyed his party food - crackers and heart-shaped cheese, blueberries and raspberries!
Oh yes, and we can't forget the cookie.  It was a gingerbread cookie and the kids could put icing and sprinkles on it.  I "decorated" Parker's cookie for him and I think he really liked the red icing I used - notice the red lips - hah!
Took a quick time out from eating to get a picture of my sweet Valentine!
Parker's class - it was hilarious trying to get a picture of all the kids.  All the moms were shouting their child's name and the 2 teachers were like statues and didn't move - it was funny!
During the party, Parker came over and checked on Hannah - so sweet!  After the party, he came back over and sat down by her.
Hannah was all smiles during the party and she smiled really big when Parker came over to see her!
Parker with his Valentine gifts from his classmates.  It was a great little party and we both had a good time.  So thankful I have a job that allows me to spend special moments like this with him!

The Latest

I didn't realize that it had been a couple of weeks since I last blogged.  Boy, time flies now that I have 2 little kiddos.  There is not much down-time anymore - hah!  So this post is to recap what we've been up to for the past 2 weeks.

Last Saturday, Parker went to his friend Lily's birthday party at the Bounce House.  He had so much fun!  This inflatable is his favorite - it's round and he loves running around and around on it!
This inflatable has a basketball hoop in it and he likes this one, only if he's the only one in it - hah!
This was Parker's favorite part of the party - the food!  They had Chick-fil-A nuggets and chips.  The birthday girl Lily, is the one with the white shirt on.
Parker ate all his food and enjoyed his piece of birthday cake!
The birthday cake - so cute!
The birthday girl with her parents (I work with her mom, Mandy)
My co-worker got Hannah this super cute outfit!  It's one of our faves because it's super soft and extra long!
Parker was sick Tuesday - poor thing.  We've been really fortunate this winter because this was the first time he's really been "sick."  After I got Parker ready for bed, he went to give Dad a hug and kiss.  They were playing around with each other for a bit, then I didn't hear anything from either one of them.  I went into the living room to check on them and this is what I found.  Both boys were sound asleep!
Friday and Saturday, my nephew Dustin was playing baseball games in GA.  We went to the game Friday night, but got there when it was over - oops!  They ended up starting an hour earlier, so at least we had a good excuse - hah!  Dustin was walking out to the bus with the team as we were walking in and I looked at him and said, "We made it!"  He looked at me and said, "Glad you could come!"  It was pretty funny and we both had a good laugh about that - hah!
Saturday morning, we went to his hotel to spend some time with him before his game that afternoon.  The temps were supposed to be in the 30s with a big artic wind coming through, so going to the game with little kiddos was out.  It was so nice to get to spend some time with him, especially since it's been a while since we've seen each other.  He looked great and we really enjoyed the time together.  I still can't believe he's a sophomore in college!
Parker and Hannah getting to spend time with Cousin Dustin!
Hannah and Cousin Dustin meeting for the first time!  Dustin said, "Hannah, don't throw up  on me!"  HAH!
After we left Dustin's hotel, we went to the Science Museum - Parker loves the museum!
Getting ready to see Big Bird and Elmo in the planetarium at the science museum!
Hannah snoozed through most of the show -  hah!
The big artic chill has moved through GA and it's been windy with temps in the teens and twenties - brrr, it's cold!  However, Hannah was all smiles because she was ready for the chilly temps with her big purple fleece outfit from Grandma Henry!

We got an early start on our Valentine cookies this year.  We decided to make them Sunday and we'll decorate some over the next few days.  Parker was a great helper!
And, of course, he sampled some of the dough when I wasn't looking - hah!
Parker's heart-shaped cookies!  I thought he did a great job!
Brad got me these pretty purple roses for Valentine's Day - love them!
We have a fun week ahead - Parker's Valentine party at school Monday and Valentine's Day Tuesday.  Stay tuned for more updates and pics.  We hope you all have a nice Valentine's Day!

Random Fun

The past few days, we've just done some random fun things, so I hope you enjoy this post!  Hannah wore this polka dot dress to church (it was a gift from her Aunt Amber - my sister), but you will not see Hannah in too many dresses if I can help it - hah!

Brad was reading on the bed one day and Jake jumped onto the bed and walked right between Brad and the booklet and sat down (just like you see here in the pic).  So, Brad started reading to Jake - it was pretty funny!
Little Miss Hannah and her chunky little cheeks!
Hannah's 1st attempt at sitting in the Bumbo.  She actually did pretty good!  One of my friends saw this picture on Facebook and told me I needed to get her out of that seat and quit trying to have her sit up already.  Hah!  She told me to enjoy getting to hold her now because they grow up quick and soon they will barely let you hug them!  I thought that was very sweet of her to write that, and I know that is so true!
Trying to get a picture of these 3 was almost impossible!
This picture cracks me up because they both have the same facial expression, along with the scrunched eyebrow look!  Hah!
Parker, Hannah and I went to Moe's on Tuesday for Taco Tuesday - 2 tacos, chips and a drink for $5.50.  It was yummy - we love Moe's!
We had a "date-night" at Chick-fil-A for an ice cream treat that Parker and I shared!
This was the sunset while on our "date" at Chick-fil-A.  This is what a Georgia sunset looks like, and if you see it, you better take a picture quickly, because it disappears super fast behind the trees and mountains.
Hannah's Valentine outfit
My sweet little Valentines!
Parker in his Valentine shirt (this will be year #2 for his shirt)
Hannah and Parker were so done with me taking pictures - hah!

Parker watching his favorite meteorologist on tv.  Parker always stops what he is doing and watches Glenn Burns at 6:30 every night!
Groundhog Day cupcakes.  I got the idea and recipe from my friend Libby (who is super creative).  I thought they turned out pretty cute!

Parker enjoyed 1 mini cupcake before bed.  He was licking his fingers to get every last little bit - hah!
