January snow and 16 months

We have snow!!!  Granted, it's only a half-inch, but hey, we'll take what we can get.  Schools are out, Brad is home, and Parker got to experience his first snow.  What a fun day!

Jake getting his first experience with the snow.

Parker's ready to go!!

My 3 snow buddies (Jake is in the background).

I tried to help Parker build his first snowman, but the snow wasn't really cooperating.

Parker and Jake - playing in the snow together.

I think Jake was a little disappointed with our snowman.  He's probably thinking, "This is it?"

I really don't know what Parker is doing - maybe trying to make a snow angel?

Me and my sweet snow buddy!

On a different note, Parker is 16 months!  I can't believe it - the time is going by so fast.  This is one of Parker's new things.  He likes sitting on his knees and he loves playing with the vent.

And this is Parker's other thing - he always tries to pull up on the wall.  Why the wall, I have no idea, especially when he pulls up on everything else!

Some other things Parker is doing:
-he is cruising pretty good along the sofa
-he enjoys walking behind his lion push toy - this is helping him learn to walk
-he still commando crawls, but he's getting better at regular crawling
-he pulls up on EVERYTHING
-he's a great eater

We have enjoyed watching Parker grow and change during these 16 months and can't wait to see what the next few months will bring for him!

Oh my Parker!

A fun update - Parker still loves his swing.  We have it set up in our basement during these winter months, so we can still take him downstairs and swing him.  Brad had him going really high and I was able to get this fun picture of him.  (I don't know why his eyes are like that, but his expression is priceless!)

Ok, so now for the good and bad post.  Good - Parker finally stood up in his crib.  He had done this before, but now the crib is all the way down.  It took him a few weeks and lots and lots of trying, but he finally mastered it.  We are very proud of him - I mean, just look at his proud little face!  Of course, he was supposed to be napping, but hey, I'll take this any chance I get!

Bad - the below picture shows what Parker was doing while he was standing in his crib.  I had no idea!!!  When I went to check on him, I didn't see this of course because notice how, in the picture above, his hands are over part of the crib, well, I now know why!  Look what our little beaver did!  Augh!  I can't believe that!!  I guess we're going to have to get one of those crib rail protector-thingys.  Oh well, what do you do!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all our family and friends.  We hope this year brings great things to you all!  Brad and I are looking forward to another year with our family and we are excited to see Parker grow and change during this year.

Brad working on his triceps with Parker.  Parker loves this - he just giggles and squeals!

Parker is learning how to walk.  We got him this ottoman and he's doing really well with it.  He's crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything!  He's also starting to cruise on the sofa, so we know it won't be long until he's walking everywhere!  We are so excited for him!

It looks likes Parker is saying, "How much further do I have to walk until I get to rest?"
