Friday we all went to the GA Tech baseball game. They were playing Clemson and we had an awesome time! I got tickets from a lady that I used to work with (her husband is the chaplain for the team). The seats were fantastic - 2nd row, right behind the plate! Brad and I loved it because we were so close, you could really see how the pitcher's ball moved, and how fast some of the guys were. It was just great.
The game started at 7 and Parker goes to bed around 8:30. So, needless to say, I was a little worried about how he would do. I really thought we would have to leave early, but the little trooper hung in there for the entire game! The game went extra innings and we ended up getting home at 11! (What is it with us and extra inning games? The GA game we went to about a week ago, went into extra innings as well!)
Let me tell you that the little stinker didn't go to sleep in the car either - I think he was still excited that Tech won in the bottom of the 10th with a walk off 2-run homer! However, when we got home, he went straight to sleep as soon as he was in his crib.

He's also probably thinking, "Mom, give that camera to me - I'll show you how to do it!" HA!
Some other fun things Parker likes to do:
He loves looking out the windows! He is absolutely fascinated with it. He will crawl from one side of the house to the other, going back and forth between the windows. Sometimes when he's standing there, he'll walk in place. So, Brad says he's doing his "treadmill" workout! HA!
And, yes - the 2nd picture, Parker is in his shirt and a diaper. I'm not really a fan of that, but Brad seems to think it helps Parker crawl around better. His chunky legs are pretty cute though!
I found Parker a new way to get around the house - inside his ottoman! HA! Parker likes to push this all over the house, so I decided to take the top off, sit him inside, and push him around the house (we have hardwoods, so that helps).
He absolutely loved it! He was giggling like crazy! It was like our own amusement park ride!
Of course, Jake heard all the commotion, and came over to investigate. Once he realized everyone was ok, he laid down for a picture (and a treat)!
Sunday, the country music awards were on tv, so we were watching and playing. Well, when the singers were on, Parker wasn't doing much playing. He would stop what he was doing and watch them so intently! He loves live music - maybe he will want to play a musical instrument when he gets older (both Brad and I did growing up).
Saturday we took a road trip to UGA to watch their spring football game and a baseball game. We had a lot of fun and it was a beautiful day.
We got a late start because Parker decided to sleep until 1, so we got to the football stadium just in time to see just a little of the last quarter - oh, well. It was neat getting to see the stadium. Even though we didn't see much, Parker still clapped for the Dawgs!
After the football game, we headed over to the baseball game. The Dawgs were playing Ole Miss, so we were excited to see some good baseball. This experience was quite an adventure!
I went up to the gate to get tickets and they were sold out! We were so bummed, but we found a guy selling tickets, so we bought 2 (of course thinking Parker was free and didn't need one for him). We give our tickets at the gate and the lady asks for Parker's ticket! She was really rude and we just couldn't believe that a 19-month old needed a ticket to a baseball game!
Luckily, we were able to find the guy we bought our tickets from, explained the situation and he bought the tickets back from us. We were so thankful he did that, because we would have been in a mess! We were so upset about the entire situation, we decided we were going to leave and come home, when we ran into another guy that had 3 tickets, so I guess it all worked out.
By the time the ticket fiasco was over, the game was in the bottom of the 3rd. The game was 13 innings, so we got our money's worth!
Parker enjoyed the game and enjoyed flirting with the lady in front of us.

We had to leave the game a little early because the game went extra innings and it was 6:30. Parker was starting to get restless and hungry. Leaving the game early almost killed Brad and I, because we never do that, but things are a little different when you have a little one! On the way out, Brad had to get a picture by this ginko tree. It was really cool!
Parker was exhausted and by the time we stopped and got something to eat, he was so tired, he laid his head on the table and didn't finish his dinner. We ate quickly and as soon as we got in the car, Parker was out! It was a fun day!
Parker turned 19 months Thursday. Here are some things Parker is doing:
-he has 8 teeth (4 on top, 4 on bottom)
-he's working on his back teeth now (he will put his finger, and sometimes several fingers, in the back sides of his mouth - hopefully they'll start to come in soon)
-he loves to eat (I haven't found anything yet, he doesn't like - he's even starting eating peas again!)
-he's crawling and pulling up everywhere (he's still not walking on his own yet, but we're getting there; he is starting to walk with us holding only one of his hands and he loves walking behind his push toy and walking behind us while holding on to our legs)
-he's still not talking much, but we're working on that
-he's developing a really funny personality
-he loves being outside
-he likes Chick-Fil-A (he didn't really have a choice about this - HAH)
-he likes playing with Jake and teasing Jake with his doggie toys (it's so funny!)
-he loves crawling over to Jake's water bowl and putting his hand in it (we have to try to remember to pick up Jake's bowl)
-he loves looking out the windows and he loves looking at fans
-he likes to be read to (his favorites are "Herbie Husker," "Dimity Duck," "Mr. Brown can Moo," and "Brown Bear, Brown Bear")
I thought this was a cute pic of the boys sitting in the grass. I'm sure they are talking about turf and nature!
Last week, Parker got to experience Six Flags for the first time. A few fellow teachers and I held an outing for our kids we teach online. It was a gorgeous day - low 80s, with a light breeze. It was not that hot because there was no humidity - it was just a textbook day! My mom came down to help out and it was so nice having an extra set of hands to help out with Parker - thanks mom!
Parker had a great time - we got to ride some rides together and he loved having the wind blow in his face from the rides. There were no lines, because we were in the "kiddie" rides, so that was great! The longest we had to wait was about 15 minutes for the antique cars. I hope you enjoy the pics our fun day!

Our 2nd ride of the day - kiddie boats that flew in the air. I think this was Parker's favorite. He loved having the wind blow in his face. He didn't like waiting for the ride to start and definitely didn't like it when it ended, but he enjoyed it when it was moving!
After those rides, we took a break and enjoyed a show by Bugs, Daffy and the gang. After the show, the audience was able to come on stage and get their picture made with all the characters. I thought that was great!
Parker was absolutely fascinated with Lola, who is Bugs' girlfriend (I never knew that, but I guess you learn a whole lot about kid's cartoons when you become a mom!)
Parker would not take his eyes off her - even when we were trying to take pictures with the other characters. He was even holding her hand - it was really sweet!
Enjoyed the Bugs and Daffy show with Grandma!

And, we're off!! Let's just say that Parker isn't quite ready to drive on his own yet! (Notice in the picture that he's not even watching the road!)
Whew, back safely! I think Parker's look says it all, but he did think he was hot-stuff getting to drive!
Having fun on the carousel! This time, we chose a horse that didn't move and we had a safety belt. If you read my post about the carousel experience in Chattanooga - this was much better! The horse didn't move and this ride was much slower. Parker loved it (and so did I)!
And finally - the train ride. At this point, Parker was tuckered out. He fell asleep on the way to the train, but luckily we were able to keep him in his stroller as we rode the train around the park. We laid the stroller back and Parker slept the entire train ride, even through the train blowing the whistle!
We had a great time and have some fun memories of our day. Thanks again to Grandma Henry for coming down and spending a few days with us - we had a fun time!
