Fun with Family

The past 2 days, I got to spend some time with my sister and my neice.  They live in Virginia, so I only get to see them about once a year.  They came to Chattanooga for a couple of days, so Parker and I drove to Chattanooga to spend some time with them.  It was great and we had a lot of fun together!

The fun started with me making my rabbit cake.  I made one last year, so this has become Parker's Easter cake tradition.  This year, I made the rabbit as a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting - YUM - it was good!  I had to transport this cake from my house all the way to Chattanooga - I was so afraid I was going to drop it!  Luckily, it made it to Chattanooga just fine!

The plan was to give Parker just a few bites.  However, I sat the cake down in front of him and I started talking.  The next thing I knew, he was digging into the cake with his hands - I looked at him and this was the face I got!  I think he was quite proud of himself - it was pretty funny!

After we wiped Parker down, we went outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather!  It was hot, but we found some shade in my mom's backyard.  Parker is so funny - he loves it when the wind blows in his face - he'll close his eyes, wrinkle his nose and put his face towards the sun.

My neice, Shelby and my sister, Amber.  I'm so glad we got to spend time together.  I really hate that we live so far from each other.
We enjoyed a shopping trip at the mall.  The mission: to find Shelby a prom dress.  Needless to say, it was a long day!  She did find one, but not in her size.  So, my job is to look at the stores in my area to see if they have her size.  Shelby, I would only do this for my favorite neice!  We took time out to eat some lunch, and Parker enjoyed getting to eat some cornbread and sitting by his favorite Aunt!

We had a great time and I really enjoyed getting to spend time with my sister and neice.  Thanks Amber and Shelby for a fun 2 days!  Thanks also to my mom for letting us stay with her, for helping out with Parker and for the yummy food!

Happy Easter!

From the Kleeman Family to all our family and friends - We hope you have a wonderful Easter day.  We started our day by going to our early church service, then went to eat breakfast at Cracker Barrel - YUM!  We came home, took a few pictures, then Parker took a nap.  When he woke up from his nap, we ate lunch, opened his Easter basket, went to the park, went to eat ice cream at Dairy Queen, then back home for an egg hunt.

Our weekend started off with Grandma Henry coming for a few days.  We went to Six Flags on Friday (I'll post pics later of that trip).  The Easter bunny visited Grandma Henry, so she brought Parker's Easter basket with her.  We enjoyed having Grandma H for a few days - she really loves to SPOIL our little guy.  Thanks Grandma for a fun weekend!

Taking time out to smell the flowers, then . . . pushing them away!

Easter Sunday with Mom and Dad

Seeing what the Easter bunny brought

My 2 sweet Easter bunnies.  You tell me . . . who looked better in the ears?  And, yes, Jake got an Easter basket from the Easter bunny as well!

One can only imagine what these two are saying to each other!  HAH!

Headed to the park.  None of us lasted long because it was so hot and there was no shade!

Jake's egg hunt.  Yes, I filled 3 eggs with doggie treats and Jake sniffed them out right away!  He loves his egg hunt - he always looks forward to it.  Parker watched him the whole time!

Parker's egg hunt.  He pretty much sat there and waited for the eggs to come to him.  Then, Jake would come over and make sure Parker didn't have any of his eggs.  Then, Parker would grab the eggs and toss them off to the side.  He made his own fun!

Random Parker Fun

Just a few random pictures of Parker and Jake.
Parker really likes Jake's newest toy.  Everytime it's on the floor, Parker always goes right to it and plays with it.  Then, Jake realizes Parker has his toy and comes over to Parker and wants to play.  So, they play tug-of-war with each other - it's pretty funny!  Jake is really sweet with Parker, especially when Parker has his toy, so we're glad to see that.  Parker usually loses interest in the toy, before Jake does, and it's hilarious to see Jake's face when Parker has moved on to something else!  HAH!

Parker's 1st picture that he drew for me.  I'm sure this will be the first of many pictures that will be put up on the fridge!
