Hannah at 8 months, Six Flags and a Wedding

I realize I'm a little late in posting this, but our sweet Hannah turned 8 months on July 19.  It is so hard to believe she is already 8 months!  She weighs 22.5lbs and 29in long.  We go back for an "official" check up at 9 months.

She is a sweet, sweet little girl and is pretty happy the majority of the time.  The only time she cries is if she falls or she's hungry.  She's been getting up a couple of times throughout the night still, but I'll feed her and she's goes right back to sleep.  I'm looking forward to the night when she will sleep straight through!

She is pulling up to stand all the time now, so we had to lower her crib all the way down.  I tried to just lower it a little, but that only lasted one time, as you can see here in the picture. 

Hannah wants to be upright all the time.  She's starting to figure out "creeping" (that's what I call it), where she'll move her hands along the couch and move her feet sideways.  Oh my, it won't be long until she's actually walking! 

Brad has already exposed Hannah to the mower and grass, so it's inevitable that both our kids will have an appreciation for mowing and a nice lawn - hah!

To celebrate Hannah turning 8 months, we spent a few hours at Six Flags.  My mom came down and I had 2 free tickets, so off we went for our annual trip.  It was a little hot, but not as bad as it's been in the past. 

Parker loved the swings!  Last year, he didn't get to ride them, but this year he rode them twice in a row! 

Grandma enjoyed her time with Hannah, while Parker and I enjoyed the rides!

At the end of the month, we went to my friend Elissa and Paul's wedding.  We had a fun time and the kids were great.

Water Time, Braves and Chick-fil-A

It has been hot, hot, hot here, so I decided to pull out our baby pool and let Hannah try the water for the first time.  The kids had a blast and Parker was a good sport sitting in the "baby pool" with Hannah.  They probably stayed entertained in the pool for about 30 minutes and it was really fun watching them interact with each other.

Hannah was all about the water and exploring and cared nothing about looking at the camera for a picture. 

Hannah had reached her limit with water fun, so I toweled her off and let her sit in the chair for just a bit while Parker enjoyed splashing in the pool - hah!

After we all cleaned up from pool time, Parker came back out to enjoy his water table.  I just got this about 2 weeks ago, and Parker loves it!  

One Friday night, we went to a Braves games with the kids - yes, I said a Friday night and with the kids - hah!  A good friend of mine, that I work with, their family has season tickets to the Braves.  They weren't using them for this particular game, so she asked me if I would be interested in going.  At first I was going to say no, because it was a 7pm game and we would have to take the kids, but then I thought we could at least give it a try.

So, off we headed to the Braves game with the kids and guess what - it rained the entire way there to the game.  Luckily, by game time, the rain had stopped though - thank goodness, but there were showers all around all night (see the dark clouds behind the Braves sign).  As you can see - we had great seats!  We were right behind where all the scouts sit, about 15 rows up, right behind home plate. 

Hannah was fascinated by everything she was seeing for the first time - it was priceless!  She did cry one time, the very first time the Braves got a hit and the crowd went crazy.  She wasn't a fan of all the loud noise, but she got accustomed to it fairly quickly. 

Everything was going great with the game, except during the 3rd inning, the entire stadium lost power.  Yes, lost power - we couldn't believe it!  So, there was about a 25 minute delay before all the lights were restored, so that 25 minutes seemed like 2 hours with 2 little kiddos - hah!  Luckily, they got it resolved and the game resumed. 

We stayed at the game until about 10:30 and the kids were exhausted.  Hannah fell asleep in my arms and Parker's eyes were so tired, he could barely keep them open.

Me and my little man right before we left the game.  Poor thing was so tired (look at his eyes).  We got home about midnight and luckily both kids went right to sleep and both slept in until 8am the next morning!  Even though it was a late night, we had a great time and we were so thankful we got to go and have a fun experience with the kids. 

About a week ago, my favorite place to eat, Chick-fil-A, had Cow Appreciation Day.  If you dressed like a cow, you got a free meal!  Hello . . . I will never pass up an opportunity to go to Chick-fil-A, especially when it's free - hah!

So, I made cow shirts for the kids.  I used a white t-shirt they had and I cut out black construction paper spots and pinned them on their shirts.  I thought they looked really cute! 

We headed to Chick-fil-A and both kids got a free kids meal (I ate Hannah's).  The place was packed, so we had to eat pretty quickly, but it was lots of fun! 

Our last days in Nebraska

I realized I never posted pics from our last days in Nebraska, so better late than never, right??  After church, we went to eat at this fabulous cafe, then spent some time with Brad's grandma.  We had a really nice time visiting with her and she enjoyed getting to see the kids.

Later that afternoon, we headed over to Brad's friends house for a swim party, cookout and to watch fireworks.  The kids are both looking at the pool as if to say, "You want me to get in there?" 

Hannah ended up going home early (thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for picking her up), but Parker stayed, so we tried out the pool.  He wasn't really a fan at first, but he warmed up to it fairly quickly.

Parker got to eat real corn on the cob for the first time, while we were in Nebraska.  He did pretty good, but it was hilarious how he was trying to get every kernel off the cob!

On July 3rd, we went to Uncle Mark's farm for a cookout and fireworks.  This is a tradition that Uncle Mark does every year and we always have a great time!  This was Hannah's first trip, so she was ready!

We decided to stay in Nebraska on July 4 and ended up coming home the next day.  So, I took Parker to the sporting goods store, where it's 2-stories and they have a ferris wheel inside.  Yes, it's your amusement park-sized ferris wheel.  I have to say that I have not been on a ferris wheel in years, so it was a little exciting for both Parker and myself!

Grandma Kleeman got a couple of boxes of snaps for Parker, so we all had fun throwing those off the deck and Hannah supervised!

Hannah lost interest in story time, but she loved getting into everything in my bag!  We had a great time in Nebraska and we loved every minute of it.  Thanks for everything Grandma and Grandpa Kleeman!
