Awesome Easter

We had a great Easter as a family.  The weather was absolutely beautiful (it was hot, but it was still nice).  We went to our early church service, then headed to Cracker Barrel for breakfast.  My mom had come down for the weekend, so we enjoyed spending time with her as well.

Parker doing some walking up and down the path while we waited for our table at Cracker Barrel.

While we waited for our food, Parker tried the peg game

Look at that concentration!

Yeah, I'm just "Plain Genius!" (this is what the peg game says when you leave only 1 peg)

Parker in the rocking chair outside Cracker Barrel.  He reminds me of all the folks who like to sit in the rockers outside the restaurant after eating - hah!

After breakfast, we headed home to take pictures and do our egg hunt!!

Parker and Grandma Henry

Time to hunt eggs!

Parker wasn't into it like he was during the egg hunt at church.  Daddy had to help him get started - hah!  After a few tries, Parker got the hang of it, but he only lasted a few seconds.

Jake, on the other hand, was all about hunting eggs!  Yes, I put doggie treats in some of the eggs for Jake.  He knows that and he thought Parker was opening an egg for him - hah!

Yay - Jake finally found his eggs!

Is this not hilarious!!

This year, Jake didn't need any help getting into his eggs - he actually opened the eggs himself!  I couldn't believe it!!  He would roll it around for a while, then he would open it with his paws and his mouth - I was impressed!

The boys taking a break after hunting eggs - it was really hot!

After a nap and a bath, we finally got to see what the Easter bunny brought!

I couldn't resist - hah!

Checking out the basket from Grandma Henry

Parker was so excited about his pudding cup!

Our Easter cookies.  We actually had a lot more, but we ate the rest the day before.

Parker was so excited over his Easter basket.  He got bubbles, some play food and "Patrick" from Build-A-Bear.

Egg Hunt Fun!

Saturday our church had their annual Easter Egg Hunt and we had so much fun!  This was the 1st year we've gotten to do it, because Parker wasn't ready before.  I'm so glad we got to go and do this!  The egg areas were grouped by ages and were roped off to separate all the kids.  It was super organized (which I loved) and there was a great turnout - probably about 200 kids were there!

We were ready to hunt eggs!

Parker was so excited!

We had to wait for the whistle to begin, but Parker was trying to get a head start - hah!

Off he goes!!

Parker wanted to check out his eggs and I was trying to tell him to grab and go - hah!

He got another one!

He finally got the hang of it!

Wondering where all the eggs are!

Our neighbor and Parker's classmate from school was there.  Miss Addie is a sweet little girl (she was holding Parker's hand)!

We had a fun time at the egg hunt!

Even though the egg hunt was over, Parker was still looking for more eggs!

Parker found 6 eggs and he was so proud!

Glad Grandma Henry was there to help!

Thanks church for a fun Easter Egg Hunt!

After the egg hunt, we headed to Chick-fil-A for lunch.  Parker loves CFA as much as I do!

Parker ate his chicken strip, fruit and milk and was still looking for more food!  He grabbed Grandma H's fry box and was trying to see where the food was hiding - hah!

At Chick-fil-A, you can trade in the toy for a free ice cream.  We do this sometimes, depending on what the toy is.  They will even put sprinkles on the ice cream for him!  This is always a yummy treat to share!

Thursday, Parker had his egg hunt and party at school.  It was fun to see him with his classmates and enjoy some time together.

Ready for the egg hunt!

Looking to see how many he found!

Parker and his friend, Brandon.  This looks like a fun conversation - hah!

Parker was so proud of his 4 eggs!

Parker and his classmates waiting for their party snack!

Emily, Parker and David

Parker and his pink lips (due to him devouring his  pink-icing cupcake)!  Luckily, we had some oranges to balance out the sugar.

After the party, the kids headed outside to play until lunchtime.  This was so enjoyable to watch all the kids run around and play with each other and by themselves.

The kids saw eggs laying in the next playground over for the bigger kids.  They would all stand by the fence and yell, "EGGS!"  Then, they would run and play, then come back and yell, "EGGS!"  It was really funny!

Lunchtime!  Parker sitting with his lunch date, Emily.  Parker's teacher told me these 2 always sit together, along with another little girl, at this little round table (which is off to the side of the other 2 tables in the room).  Hmmm, made me wonder about these two - hah!

Parker was so happy to finally get his lunch of spaghetti, carrots and strawberries.  He was telling me "more" with his hands, even though he hadn't even finished - hah!
