Riverfest and 3rd Soccer Game

The last weekend in September, our city holds an arts and crafts festival called Riverfest.  It's sponsored by the women's service league and the proceeds go toward benefiting all the children in the county we live in.  We took Parker last year and had a fun time, so this was year #2 for us.  This time, just Parker and I went and Brad stayed home with Hannah.  There are basically two parts to the festival - a fun, kid area and tons of arts and crafts booths, but we just stick to the kid area - hah!

As soon as we got there, we headed straight to the petting farm with the animals.  The same animals were here again this year, but this year, Parker seemed to enjoy all the animals much more than last year.  This gave me a great idea to do for his next birthday party - hah!
Parker loved this hairy cow!
This was absolutely Parker's favorite animal at the petting farm - it was an Alpaca.  Parker just wanted to stand right beside it, look at it and touch it!  He would go off and look at the other animals, but he would always come back to his buddy - hah!
Parker saying "hey" to the donkey - hah!
The pot-bellied pig (my favorite)!
Parker loved getting to brush the pony - he just thought it was awesome!

I think Parker and the Pony were having a little heart-to-heart talk - hah!

This bunny was so soft and Parker loved getting to pet him!

After spending lots of time with the animals, we went for a little train ride around the kid area - it was fun, but it was a little wobbly so I definitely had to concentrate so I didn't fall off - hah!
Ready to ride the train!
Action shot on the train ride!
After the train ride, we headed over the the "little" kid area where they had these play cars, bikes and push toys for the kids to ride and play on.
After that, Parker got to throw bean bags at the bean bag toss game, we painted a little pumpkin together, we stopped and got his picture made with Little Zac of Zaxby's chicken, and for a treat, we shared some frozen yogurt with strawberries, blueberries and sprinkles.  It was yummy!
Parker and I had a great time together.  Already looking forward to next year, when both our kiddos will be able to go and enjoy the fun!
The same weekend as Riverfest, Parker had his 3rd soccer game.  It was also team picture day as well, so here is Parker's little 6-man team with their wonderful coach, Coach Jeremy.

Pumpkin Patch

Our trip to the pumpkin farm this year had to be done in 2 trips - yes, 2 trips!!  Why, you are probably asking??  Well, the small pumpkin farm that we always go to opened on September 22.  One would think, if it's open to the public on that day, they would have pumpkins . . . WRONG!  We planned a fun day at the pumpkin farm and when we got there - there were no pumpkins!!  I couldn't believe it - I was so disappointed!  We have come to this particular pumpkin farm 3 years in a row, specifically to get pictures with their huge pumpkins.  So, we made the best of it and did what we could.

The kids were all excited and ready to head to the pumpkin farm!
This picture cracks me up - Parker standing just like Farmer Fred - hah!

Parker and Hannah enjoyed the ducks!
This picture had the potential to be PERFECT . . . except Brad was standing to the left of me, so we got Hannah looking at me (the one with the camera) and Parker is looking at Brad (who is standing) beside me.  I shared this picture with my friend Amy and she said, "Brad's an amateur, doesn't he know he's supposed to stand behind the one with the camera!"  Hah!  I think it still makes a cute picture!
The kids loved the goats!
I love this picture of Hannah and Brad!
Parker got to ride the pony - Milky Way.  He loved every second of it!  Parker had the sweetest, happiest smile on his face during the ride.
Parker showing Milky Way appreciation for the ride!
Hannah enjoyed riding on Daddy's shoulders!
Hannah was fascinated by these pumpkins with all the "bumps."

Ok, so this was "Take 2" at the pumpkin farm - hah!  As you can see, all the pumpkins are there now.  So, I attempted to get some good pics of the kids, and some action shots as well.

This was the best one I got of the kids - oh well!
This was new at the farm, so this will become a new Kleeman tradition when we go!
