Parker's Birthday Party

We had Parker's 4th birthday party on Saturday, September 1st.  His actual birthday is September 8th, but we always hold his birthday party during Labor Day weekend so our family and friends can attend the party, with having an extra day off from work.  This year's theme was a "Luau" and I believe everyone had a great time!

This is Mrs. Angela, Parker's preschool teacher last year.  They both love each other so much and we were thrilled she and her boys were able to come!
Hannah had a blast at her first birthday party!

Mrs. Kathy and her boys.  She keeps Parker and Hannah for me sometimes.  They are great and so glad they were able to attend!

Parker couldn't wait until we finished singing "Happy Birthday" before tasting the cake!  At least he used his pinky finger - hah!

Ms. Angela and her boys with PK - Parker loved the football they got him!
PK and Mackenzie - she got him play doh trucks!
Ms. Brandi and PK.  Brandi is a good friend and co-worker of mine.  She and I interviewed together for the same job and both got hired.
We also have some other crazy things in common:  we both have birthdays in October and we each share our names and our kids' names together.  So, in the picture from left to right are:  Hannah Kleeman, Brandy Kleeman, Parker Kleeman, Brandi Parker and Hannah Parker.
Ms. Ashley and PK (she got him a very cool big piece puzzle)
Emma and Eliza and PK - they are always so sweet with Parker
Parker loved his $20 bill from Babette!
The snail obstacle course was a party favorite by all!
Grandma Kleeman had just as much fun with the big bubble wands as the kids!
Parker loved the snail obstacle course!  He got to play on it during the party with his friends and then after everyone had left, and he had a nap, he got to play on it by himself.  It was great!
He was so tired after his party!
Rattana and his wife, Angela, came with their kids and their newest addition Miller.  I taught with him my very first year.  It's always good to catch up with them and so glad they were able to come to Parker's party!

Hannah loved getting some time on the obstacle course after the party was over!  She thought it was hilarious when Parker would come down the ramp inside the inflatable - hah!

Hannah is 9 months!

Our sweet little Hannah turned 9 months on Sunday.  I cannot believe how fast time has gone and that she is 3 months away from her 1st birthday!  We got a great report at her 9 month check up - 22.13lbs and 30in, which puts her in the 95th percentile for both height and weight!  We are truly blessed with a happy and healthy little girl!

Sunday before church, we celebrated her 9 month birthday by having breakfast at Waffle House - hah!  Hopefully she won't hold that against us when she's older!  The waitress made a hat for the kids - I thought the kids were super cute, but I think the kid's face tells a different story - hah!
Hannah loves her little walker.  We don't put her in it too much, but the little bit she's been in it, she is getting faster and faster.  It's like she's in a little bumper car - hah!  She is on the move all the time and every day she crawls faster and faster!  She wants to be where we are and she crawls faster and she pulls up anywhere she can.  She is starting to cruise a little bit, so the fun is just beginning!
Hannah loves to swing, but only for a little bit, because I think she gets bored because she can't move around - hah!  She does like going for a ride in her stroller when we go for walks in the neighborhood.
Hannah loves her Daddy!  Every time he comes home she gives him a huge grin and her eyes light up - I know that makes Brad feel really good!
Hannah is a happy little girl.  She is into everything and making several different sounds.  She's made the "buh" and "da" sounds and her newest sound is the "uh" and "oh" sound, so it almost sounds like she's saying "uh oh."  It's really cute!
My brother got Hannah this hat - it's a pink camo hunting hat that says, "My First Huntin' Hat."  I think they got it as a joke because it was pink - hah!
Hannah has started transitioning over to "real" food.  She still eats baby food, but we've started yogurt and soon we'll try a real sweet potato.  She likes her little puffs and has mastered the concept of picking it up and putting it in her mouth.
Hannah seemed pretty interested in this big ball the other night, so we'll see if that stays with her as she gets older - hah!
The kids get along pretty good with each other.  Both are extremely interested in what each other is doing.  It's good for Parker because we are learning the concept of sharing, so it makes for some great teaching moments.  We are very blessed to have 2 sweet and loving kiddos.

Dinner with My Bestie

Last week I was able to meet up with my best friend, Amy, who now lives in Minnesota.  It was great getting to see her because we don't get to see each other that often, since we both live in different states.  She was in Chattanooga visiting her parents, so we were able to meet halfway in Calhoun for dinner.

She has two sweet boys, Colton who is 5 and Chase who will be 3 in October.
After dinner, the boys raced each other up and down the sidewalk.
I think this is a great picture of the kids, considering their ages (Colton 5, Parker almost 4, Chase almost 3 and Hannah almost 9 months)!
Colton and Chase got Parker an early birthday present, and Colton helped Parker open his gift.  They got  him a light up soccer ball, play-doh, some pop-its and a nice dress shirt.
Colton and Parker giving hugs before leaving - so sweet!
When we got home, the kids were not tired at all - hah!  So, we played with the light up soccer ball from Colton and Chase and we all had lots of fun!
It was very fitting that the boys got Parker a light up soccer ball because I have signed up Parker to play in a fall soccer league at the YMCA starting in a couple of weeks.  So, we have been practicing in the backyard every night.
Parker seems to be catching on about kicking the ball more than once.  However, sometimes he'll just bend over and push the ball with his hands.  So, Brad and I anticipate lots of laughs and good times watching him play soccer this fall - hah!
Our sweet kiddos after a fun night of playing soccer, baseball and softball in the backyard!
Parker and Hannah watching Dad mow the front yard from Parker's bedroom window - hah!  It was pretty funny!
